I really enjoyed this story, and I was pissed when it ended! I was sucked in from the first freaking paragraph. There were definitely some noir elements happening, which I loved. What I enjoyed about Inda's writing was that every emotions could be felt. You could feel the love between Danny and Lisa. You could practically taste their longings and regrets. There was so much passion in this story. I'm giving it 4 and a half stars.Product details

Compromised is speculative fiction author, Inda Lauryn's foray into noir with a twist. Instead of a femme fatale luring the hero into danger, the author gives us a homme fatale to consider. This story had me talking to myself and screaming at times while I read, it's such a fun roller-coaster of events. Definitely worth your time and your coins!
The characters were compelling, the love was hot, the crime element was unexpected. It was only too short! Looking forward to more!
When I started reading this I expected a simple love story but it turned out to be much more. Basically it's a story about two people who greatly love each other but just should not be together. The story starts out slow but a few chapters in it really pics up pace. I found myself speeding through each chapter desperate to find out what transpired between the main characters, Danny & Lisa. However, as well written as the story and characters are, I was a bit disappointed by the ending. I was expecting or hoping for a bit more. But it's not enough to deter me from reading the story again or from reading any of the author's other works. All in all this was a great and quick read for a rainy afternoon or a slow day. I would definitely reread this again as well as recommend it to a friend.
